Cocktail Pairings
The Cocktail Pairing Project
Those of you that know me personally, know that I am a person of many passions. My work is just one of them. Hiking, whisky, cooking, travel, and soccer are some others. While these pastimes have lived largely outside of my professional life, I have decided to use the occasion of my 100th publication (how did that happen?) to change that a bit. The plan is to marry my love of mixology with my ongoing enthusiasm for academic writing. As the best meals are accompanied by a wine pairing, so shall all of my papers going forward include a suggested cocktail pairing.
The suggested pairing, a brief rationale, and a detailed cocktail recipe will be posted here. Time permitting, I may also start to tackle some of my back catalog.
Please take this effort in the spirit (pun, intended) in which it was created, a bit of frivolous pleasure to go along with what can sometimes be some heavy reading. My hope is to make the reading more enjoyable or at least a little less painful. Remember to drink responsibly and bottoms up!
PS: If you hate this idea, please know that it is entirely my own and my coauthors hold no responsibility for it.
